IN LOVING MEMORY

In loving memory of our dear Sister Joan.

A beloved daughter of God in service, a darling sister of Notre Dame in many ways, born in the soil of Jamalpur and rendered her earthly service at the last in Notre Dame Jamalpur as Manager of the school and English and Moral Science teacher of plus two, left us for her heavenly abode on 30th September , 2014. We feel deeply saddened and are left with a vacuum that cannot be easily filled in. we pray that may her soul rest in peace and intercede for us all.

We love you and we miss you so much. You will always live in our memories dear Sister Joan.

With fond memories
All the Students, Teachers, Sisters and Parents
N D A, Jamalpur

We regret to inform everyone that our dear Sir Arvind Kumar Gupta, office accountant for the past twenty-six years, died suddenly of a heart attack on September 3, 2014. He was most dedicated to his work and faithful at his desk till four or five p.m. and even much later on most days.

He had everything at his finger tips: all the fees, the school accounts, the C.B.S.E. communications, norms and regulations, government requirements, and Provident Fund stipulations. We have indeed lost a valuable staff member. We shall certainly miss him immensely. We express our grief and solidarity to his wife, daughter, and all his family members. May his soul rest in peace and happiness.

Sister Shubha has been headmistress of the Primary School from June, 2010 onwards. She has had a very varied teaching experience in both rural and urban settings and brings to her post a remarkable adaptability to local situations.

During her tenure she has raised the school to high standards of academics, discipline, and moral values. In their bright, clean uniforms, the children look like the epitome of good grooming and refinement.

Thank you, dear Sister, for all that you have done for Notre Dame in Jamalpur. We wish you God’s blessings as you move to become superior of the convent attached to our Notre Dame School in Njafgarh ( near Delhi).

Sister Shikha has been taking care of the school and convent accounts for the past three years. With meticulous care and transparency, she accounts for every rupee that has been spent.

During her time here, a number of renovations have taken place: the painting of the school and convent rooms, the installation of the new generator, the making of lockers for every single teacher, the construction of the new school gate, the artistic paving of footpaths all over the compound, and many other things.

Most of all, Sister Shikha has had a real heart for all the maintenance workers and has seen to the upgrading of the salaries of all the teachers and workers. Thank you, dear Sister, for everything. May God bless you abundantly as you move to your new ministry in Patna.
